My Experience:

I purchased this product back in June when I attended the Kinky Hair Unlocked event. I think I had used it maybe twice before it got lost amidst my many other products. So I have just recently revisited this product I wanted to try to give some sort of assessment on it, since I probably won't be repurchasing anytime soon.  I am not saying that I disliked the product at all, I just didn't get that "I gotta have more" feeling about it.

The product has a very creamy consistency; not too thick but not too thin either. It smooths onto the hair fairly well. This time I applied it to my dry hair before washing. The last two times I applied it to my wet hair after washing and I remember not liking the way it felt when my hair was wet; but there could have been something else behind that.

The smell of this product is also nice. It has a light banana scent of course. It's not very strong at all. Reminds me of banana flavored laffy taffy. :)

The product has very nice slip.  After deep conditioning with my steamer on dry hair, I was able to gently glide through my hair with my detangling brush.  Mind you that I applied the conditioner to my hair that was pulled into a bun from a week old bantu knot. It was a mess, but I did not detangle my hair until after steaming and hopping into the shower to rinse.  My hair felt very soft even after using shampoo. It wasn't a very large jar as you can see. I only got about 3 uses out of it.  I wish there was a little more for the price, but I guess it's not too terribly bad.
All in all, this is a pretty decent product. I don't really have anything negative to say about it. It is likely that I may repurchase again one day.  This was one of my wish list items that I  just wanted to be able to try at least once, and that I did.  There are many great reviews on this product; so if you're interested, I say give it a try!

Have you tried this product? What did you think of it?

Thanks for reading!

  1. Great review, doll! My hair is doing great with my protein-free hair regimen. I think I will keep it that way for now!

    1. Yeah there is protein in this moisturizing conditioner. I wondered if that was why my hair felt odd the first couple of times I used the product. This time around was much better. Maybe I needed protein this time versus the last! Thanks for reading, Nerline! :)
