Merry Christmas and Happy New Year 2020!!!!

Happy Holidays to the one person that might be reading this!  Mine have been a bit busy with studying for exams. I'm trying to cram a lot into the next couple of months.

It is honestly hard to believe that in just a few days we will be in a whole new decade! 2020! Not so long ago it seemed like it was forever away, and now it's here.

I am not one for the whole New Year Resolution or New Year, New Me mantra; however, I do like the feeling of a fresh clean slate....and boy do I need one right now! The New Year always feels like a time to start fresh and de-clutter your mind, body, spirit. A time to

This Has Kept Me Exercising Consistently for the Last Three Years

Three years ago I made a decision that really changed the game for my fitness and health.  I cannot believe I have kept it going this long, but now it has become a routine; a part of me. I have gone through several cycles of -  weight gain, exercise, eat better, see results, fall off the wagon, weight gain.  I have finally found something that has kept me on my toes and kept me accountable, I've made amazing friends to help push me along the way. The workouts alone definitely did not do it for me. The hard part is eating the right amounts of the right stuff.

So what is it that has gotten me on my game? That has me striving to be my best me, to be better than i was the last time? I'm sure you've herd of it, and I know there are some people who have some mixed feelings about it. Three years ago, in March/April 2016

Tea Rinsing Not Working? Try Drinking It....Benefits of Green Tea

Here is a forgotten post I found in my drafts from 2016. It is very relevant so I am sharing now.

Tea rinsing has been one of the things that I have tried but never stuck with during my healthy hair journey.  As you may know, tea rinsing is said to help reduce the shedding in order to maintain thicker hair.  I have not kept up with tea rinsing. The main reason for this is to reduce the many steps of my wash day.  I didn't mind skipping this step

Man did life take me away!! Maybe I lost track of what I was trying to achieve with this blog once I went fully natural.  Spent more time just trying to figure it out, and less item documenting. I've been natural maybe 5 years now....I think... Wore a lot of twist outs, had a set back, self trimmed. Went into protective style mode.  I'm still playing with the wig idea.

Battle of the Detangler Brushes

I was originally only going to do a comparisons of the Tangle Wrangler Brush versus the Felicia Leatherwood Detangling Brush but then I remembered the Michel Mercier brush that I purchased maybe some time last year and decided to share my thoughts on it as well. Although, you may already know what I think of the Michel Mercier brush, given that I forgot I even had it. LOL

Transitioner's Corner | What Have I Been Doing with My Hair Lately?

Hello there! I have been MIA yet again. I get so mad at myself when I've been away to long. I enjoy blogging, but sometimes "I just don't feel like it" *in my whiny voice*. When I get home from a long day of work and whatever else I've had to do, I just want to relax.  Getting on my laptop after sitting at a computer all day is the last thing I feel like doing when I get home, even for enjoyment. But I do like when I keep up with what's going on with me and my hair because I like to have that record that I can go back an revisit later on.

I'm usually pretty boring with my hair but I have been trying a few things here and there to switch things up a bit. I rarely stray from my everyday bun, but every now and again I get an itch to try something different.  I was going through some old photos (that I had intended to post) and thought I'd share them here.
